Banfield Pet Hospital Program Manager, Relocation in Vancouver, Washington

Summary and Qualifications:

Oversee Banfield's corporate relocation program, policies and relocation vendor relationship, developing training and leading communication on policy, procedure, and process for Banfield’s mobility requirements.

Support Banfield's immigration program, acting as back-up to the Program Manager Immigration, in partnership with legal counsel.

This is a remote role that is based out of our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, WA

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.

  • Oversee Banfield’s corporate relocation program, analyzing and reporting relocation metrics.

  • Manage relationship, quality and control with relocation vendor, negotiating positive outcomes for escalated relocation issues, continually reviewing for innovative ideas to manage a changing workforce mobility environment.

  • Administer relocation programs in partnership with vendor, TA, AP, Payroll, and other teams, maximizing efficiency while maintaining appropriate compliance.

  • Advise and educate leaders and associates across the practice on policies, procedures, and government regulations.

  • Identify training opportunities for recruiting and hiring managers; develop training tools and conduct training, needed.

  • Facilitate relocation cost estimates to hiring managers and key stakeholders.

  • Partner closely with relocation vendor and P&O partners to execute Executive relocations from start to finish in a cost effective and timely manner with close attention to service.

  • Ensure current policies are adhered to within the business and that moves are handled efficiently and effectively by the external vendor.

  • Oversee candidate travel managed by external vendor.

  • Build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with P&O co-pilots, recruiters, Finance, Payroll, etc.

  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning to meet business needs, as well as to develop and improve relocation policies and practices.

  • Partner with relocation vendor, Commercial, and external consultants to benchmark relocation packages and ensure market competitiveness for our industry as well as optimal value and services for candidates and associates.

  • Partner with Marketing and Employer Branding to ensure relocation program resources are current and attractive to candidates.

  • Identify process and/or policy improvements and work with relevant stakeholders to implement.

  • Other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.

  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.

  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.

  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.

  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.

  • Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Legal or a related field is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Five years of experience in Human Resources or Legal, with at least three years of company relocation experience are required.

  • Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, compliance, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally are required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex concepts and technical issues are required.

  • Experience with compliance or regulatory programs across a wide geographic territory subject to varying laws is preferred.

  • Knowledge of all U.S. visa types and U.S. immigration regulations is preferred.

  • Global Human Resources certification is preferred.

  • Health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.
